Rebuilding Together had journeyed to the Best Trailer Park in North Long Beach before, but today the team touched down at Ms. Terry Vezirian's residence. The project scope was immense – but Ms. Vezirian had learned how to cope. The trailer lacked flooring so she artistically painted the wooden subfloor to look like tile. When the wind blew through cracks, she added layers of clothing to stay warm.

A dozen dedicated Poly High School Students, prepped by experienced Rebuilding Together personnel, were charged with cleaning, scraping, tossing, detailing, painting, installing, and repairing. Since ensuring home safety and security here required complicated repairs, a skilled labor pool of electricians, carpenters, plumbers, and roofers provided their time and talents for free. Most supplies were donated with paint from RM Hasson Company, bathroom repairs from Glaeser Builders, and lunch for all from AC Custom Catering.

By day's end, the students had completed their missions, experienced home repair projects, and acquired new skills. Ms. Vezirian's home had regained its original serenity, but as a safer, more comfortable place.
