House captains Roberto Montero and Lee Busino Office Engineers with Clark Construction, led the Rebuilding Together team to the successful transformation and revitalization of a home in Long Beach.

The homeowners have two children, one of which is autistic and needed our help with the general upkeep, safety and security issues in their home. The project included gutting the kitchen and installing all new cabinets, counter and sink which were donated by ISEC. The living room, kitchen and hallway were painted and the picket fence in the front yard was repaired and given a fresh coat of paint. In the bathroom, the cabinet was gutted and new drywall was put in along with a new vanity & sink. The overall change in the appearance of the house is amazing and the homeowners now have a functioning and safe kitchen and bath. Five new exterior windows were completely replaced by Standard Drywall. A volunteer from Dynalectric provided much needed electrical work. A dumpster was donated by Southern California Environmental. RM Hasson donated all of the paint for not only this project but also the five other projects that RTLB completed that day throughout Long Beach.

The best part of the rebuilding day was the involvement of the home owner who throughout the day worked wholeheartedly alongside the dedicated crew of volunteers. The volunteers included employees of Clark Construction, Atkinson Construction, McCarthy Building Companies and United Bank of California.
